Day of your tan: Arrive with clean, product-free skin. No lotion, deodorant, makeup, or perfume. These create a barrier that prevents the solution from absorbing evenly.

Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment — the bronzer can transfer before your first rinse.

It varies, but typically between 5–10 hours before your first rinse. The longer you wait within that window, the deeper and longer-lasting your tan will be.

Your first shower should be a warm, quick rinse only — no soap on your body yet, and no scrubbing. You'll see the bronzer wash off; don't panic — your actual tan develops underneath.

A well-prepped spray tan typically lasts 7–10 days. To extend your tan:

✦ Moisturize daily with a tan-safe lotion (avoid anything with mineral oil or alcohol)
✦ Avoid long soaks in pools, hot tubs, or baths
✦ Pat dry after showering — never rub
✦ Exfoliate lightly before your next tan to keep fading even

The active ingredient is DHA (dihydroxyacetone) — a naturally derived sugar that reacts with the amino acids in your skin to create color. It's non-toxic, FDA-acknowledged, and used in all professional spray tans.

Wear whatever you're comfortable with! Most clients choose a bikini or strapless underwear to minimize tan lines. Disposable coverage is included with every service so you'll have options when you arrive.

After your tan, slip into loose, dark clothing — avoid tight waistbands or bra straps that could crease or rub the solution before it sets.

Yes, 100%! Spray tans work beautifully on all skin tones. For fair skin, I use lighter shades that build gradually so it looks natural — never muddy. For deeper skin tones, the tan adds warmth and luminosity rather than changing your color dramatically. During your consultation I'll ask about your undertones and goals so we nail the perfect shade.

Wait until after your first rinse (8–12 hours post-tan) before exercising. Sweat can streak your tan before it fully develops. After your first shower, you're good to go — just moisturize and be gentle with your skin for the first few days.

For the best results, book your tan 2–3 days before your event. This gives the tan time to fully develop and for the bronzer to rinse off so you're looking your absolute best on the big day.

For weddings or major events, I recommend doing a test tan 2–3 weeks before so you know exactly how your skin takes color — no surprises on the day that matters.
